Why do I need EvoMx anti-slosh fuel tank foam?

If you’ve ever carried a hot cup of coffee across the room, then you can appreciate the problem of slosh, or as scientists call it: oscillating liquid motion due to disturbances. As you ride, your fuel level decreases and the remaining fuel is excited by the movement of your vehicle. Each bump, jump, corner, acceleration and deceleration, causes your fuel to slosh. When the fuel sloshes in your tank, the forces of the fuel movement are transferred to the wall of the tank and the force is transferred throughout your vehicle, including your handlebars! Long story short, fuel slosh negatively affects your vehicle’s handling. A gallon of gas weighs approximately 6.25 pounds. Most dirtbike fuel tanks hold around 2 gallons, many streetbikes can hold 4-5 gallons, and snowmobiles and watercraft can hold as much as, and more than, 9 gallons! The inertia of the fuel slosh can make your fuel weight seem like you have 3 times as much fuel in your tank!

How does EvoMx anti-slosh fuel tank foam work?

EvoMx fuel tank foam contains thousands of pores which stabilize the fuel’s movement in the tank. The foam is so porous it only takes up 1% of total tank volume. EvoMx fuel tank foam has a 15 year lifespan, so maintenance is minimal.

Jeep Fuel Tanks

• This is the Crawler™ Heavy Duty 3/16" thick gas tank skid plate for the Jeep CJ-7 (1974 to 1986).

Toyota

Need to increase your Toyota Tundra's fuel capacity? Transfer Flow has introduced a 46 gallon replacement fuel tank for 2007 -2011 Toyota Tundra short bed and long bed Double Cab and Crew Max pickups. It replaces the smaller stock fuel tank.

The fuel tank system comes with all parts needed for installation, including straps, mounting hardware, and an additional emissions canister kit. The stock in-tank sending unit is reused with the Transfer Flow fuel tank system. The 46 gallon fuel tank is made from 12 and 14-gauge aluminized steel for superior rust resistance and strength, and is powder coated black for a durable finish. The tank is baffled inside to prevent fuel slosh. It is currently available for non-California gas Tundras.

KTM Fuel Tanks

 

This tank will let you use your 690 as a true adventure bike, giving a combined fuel capacity of 26 litres. The tank fits on as an addition to the original under seat tank. It is straight forward to install and easy to remove and replace for servicing. There are taps to isolate the fuel in both tanks so servicing can be done without the need to drain fuel (fuel must be drained for initial instillation). This capacity over doubles the range (original tank 12L) and has been molded to retain the original KTM styling and look, and gives you a unique, comfortable knee position on the tank.

Yamaha Fuel tanks
